Living with Ollie

Day we brought him home!

Well Ollie has been with us for over a month now, he's 3 months old :)

I must say having a Shetland sheep dog is a little different....

I found him on a puppy website for shelties. I fell in love at first sight. He was smaller than the other 4 she (Emma) had ready and would runaway to his bed after he sniffed you for a minute. But, he was the one I wanted. So off we went on a hour and a half drive home. I was puked on twice in that hour and half. :(

Once we got home and both of us got baths and introductions were made. He was right at home!

3 months old
10 Little things about Sheltie Puppies from my experience with Ollie ...
  1. Your feet become pillows.
  2. No one is left behind.
  3. If you leave...He's going! And if you leave him behind (even with your children there) You'll get messages before you get out of the drive. "Your dog's mad...He peed when you shut the door."
  4. Every noise scares him
  5. Cleaning house becomes harder. Don't use a vacuum, swifter, steam mop, or broom. He will chase, bark and grab it. LOL I didn't want to do those things anyway!
  6. Your bed is his bed and when it's time for bed everyone goes.
  7. If you didn't go for walks before. It's now your new hobby! Without a walk (he's up to 5 miles a day) he runs circles in the living room.
  8. If you sing a good morning song to him.....He expects that every morning.
  9. Toys! Buy them cause your favorite paint brush will be his!
  10. Good Morning kisses! Every morning I wake up to a little dog snuggled up next to me, I tell him Good Mornin' and the kisses and hugs begin. :)
I wouldn't trade any of it!
